Hypoxia
Hypoxia is a state in which body tissues receive less oxygen than they need for normal function.
Hypoxia is a technical term for insufficient oxygen reaching body tissues. It can occur at high altitude or in low-oxygen environments and is the opposite of hyperoxia. The term is included here only to distinguish it from the oxygen-enriched environment described in chamber documentation.
