Ambient Pressure
Ambient pressure is the pressure of the environment surrounding a person or object at a given moment.
Ambient pressure describes the pressure exerted by the surrounding environment, which at sea level is approximately 1.0 ATA. Inside a hyperbaric chamber, pressure is deliberately increased above the local ambient level. The chamber's instruments display and control this pressure during a session.
